City girl chic
(Left to right: Blouse, shorts and bag - Warehouse, shoes - Quiz; all clothes Esprit)
This versatile look can be worn both for work and play - ideal for busy city girls who want to be chic on the go. Sheer blouses were layered with necklaces and cross-body bags for a smart/casual look. Cigarette pants and cropped trousers complete this tailored but cool style.

Thought nautical but nice was just for summer? Wrong! Red and blue worn together brightens up cloudy Autumn days and make the ideal office staples for working gals. Wear it with platform peep toe shoes for a bit of vintage glamour.

Sixties fashion will be everywhere this season. Seek out monochrome prints and minis for that Twiggy look. Add a modern edge with quirky prints, like this panda motif T shirt above.
(Clothes and shoes - Joules)
City gals might find it hard to pull of this equestrian inspired country look, but if you want to be comfy and chic this season, it's worth a try! Take your inspiration from Kate Middleton and incorporate tweed with more luxe fabrics and tailoring. If you're feeling brave, a golf jumper or 'nana knit' motif jumper offers instant country cool.
Retro colour blocking
(Clothes and shoes - New Look)
The colour blocking trend is going to continue into the Autumn season, but we were inspired to see it combined with these retro style headbands and forties style midi skirts. Teal is going to be a key tone for this look, as well as mustard shades. We especially loved the leather shorts photographed above - it's fetish meets retro!
(Dresses - Quiz, shoes - New Look)
Whether you're a college fresher or office girl looking for a Christmas party frock, this prom queen collection from Quiz offers a fun, bold look for evening 'dos. We weren't crazy about some of the 'Miss World' style frocks here, but worn with the right accessories and shoes, this could be a real show stopping look. The demure cream dress (centre) wins cool points for its vintage style beading.
